Can I pause the game and stop the timer?. There is a checkbox on the Settings pane to turn fortune cookies back on. There is no more fortune cookie at the end of the game. You can then choose a tileset of your liking by clicking the arrow icons near the currently selected tileset. Icon on the left side of the game board to open the settings and customization pane. There are lots of different tilesets in the game! Just click the Settings (gear) Are there different tile pictures available?. You can click the button again or press ESC to exit fullscreen mode. You can click the button in the lower-right corner of the gamefield to switch the game to fullscreen - there will be larger tiles and more space in this mode. If the problem persists please try to clear your browser's cache by following the instructions to see if it eliminates the problem. Please try to open the site again and press Ctrl+F5 keys (if on PC), Option+Command+E (on a Mac) or browser Refresh button (on mobile) - this will force refresh the site and should bring things back to normal. Don't hesitate to use helpful features such as Undo and Hint. If there are no such tiles outside the stack - you're out of luck. Tall stacks of tiles are another key priority in Mahjong Solitaire games - not only they are hard to take apart but they can also contain two identical tiles one under another. Matching tiles on long horizontal line edges should be your priority as leaving those long lines will cause problems very soon. If you see four identical and free tiles - you're in luck! Match those combinations immediately. If you see three identical tiles which are free to match - either choose a pair which opens up most new tiles or look for a quick ways to free the fourth one and match all 4. 
There are pairs which don't open anything new - it would be a good idea to hold them in reserve and match with another tiles. Always try to match pairs which lead to opening up most new tiles.Note the special Mahjong tiles (Seasons and Flowers) locations - these ones can be a great help. You will certainly find some good opening moves. Before making your first move in Mahjong Solitaire, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the board layout.
